Enable Task Manager disabled by Administrator or Virus in Windows
Windows Task Manager is used to view details about processes running on your computer. Since it can be used to terminate programs that are misbehaving or are viruses disguised in the form of harmless programs, most spyware and viruses disable it to prevent themselves from being closed through it. Some administrators also disable Task Manager to prevent users from closing important security programs like antiviruses and anti-malwares.
In such situations, running the Task Manager will give the "Task Manager has been disabled by Administrator" error. However, there are some techniques you can use to re-enable task manager and close those harmful programs manually. This article contains few such simple techniques you can use to regain access to Task Managing privileges.

Enable Registry Editor disabled by Administrator or Virus
Registry Editor is a useful utility in Windows which allows users to easily change advanced Windows settings by altering registry keys present in a hierarchical arrangement called the Windows Registry. Despite being such a powerful tool, Registry Editor is not totally error-proof.
A simple virus infection is all it takes to render it useless. Or, there are times when your administrator has actually disabled Registry Editing. When you try to open the Registry Editor in one such computer, you are likely to receive the“Registry editing has been disabled by your administrator” error. Due to this error, it is impossible to remove this restriction using Registry Editor itself.

Control Inactive System Tray Icons
You don't have to hide or show all the icons in your system tray—you can
control their disappearing acts. Right-click on the taskbar and select
Properties. Click on the checkbox next to "Hide inactive icons" (if it's
not checked by default), then click on the Customize button. For each
item on this list, you can choose "Hide when inactive," "Always hide,"
or "Always show" options to decide what you'll see and when.
Fit More Icons on Your Desktop
If your screen is so cluttered with Word documents and program
shortcuts that you can't see the rolling meadows of your wallpaper, you
don't need to move piles of stuff to the Recycling Bin. Just change the
amount of space between icons. Right-click on the desktop, select
Properties, then click on the Appearance tab, and click the Advanced
button. In the "Item" drop-down, scroll down to Icon Spacing
(Horizontal) and Icon Spacing (Vertical); changing the value in the
"Size" field will move icons closer together (while increasing the
number will move them farther apart). When you're done, click OK. To
make your existing icons follow these rules, right-click on the desktop,
select "Arrange Icons By" and then click Align to Grid, then go back to
the same menu and click "Auto Arrange."
Shut Down from Your Desktop
If you're trying to eliminate every extraneous mouse click, you can
shut down your computer with an icon on the desktop. Right-click on your
desktop, click "New," and then click "Shortcut." In the "Type the
location of the item" field, type "shutdown -s -t 00" to give you a way
to shut down the computer immediately. (Change the -s to -r to create a
reboot shortcut instead.)
Change What Programs Start When Windows Does
You can prevent a lot of apps forcing Windows into chilled-molasses
boot times—without uninstalling anything. Click Start, then "Run...,"
and type msconfig. This brings up the System Configuration Utility
window. Click on the Startup tab to see a list of all the apps slated to
start when you boot up Windows. Click the check mark next to any you
don't want, and then click OK to save your choices.

How to Create a New Partition in a Windows 7
NOTE: PARTITIONING CANNOT / NEVER BE PERFORMED FOR THE SYSTEM WITH OPERATING SYSTEM Windows 7 Home Basic, EXCEPT THAT ANY OPERATING SYSTEM CAN BE DONE.
Create a New Partition on a Windows 7 Hard Disk.
The Windows 7 Disk Management tool provides a simple interface for managing partitions and volumes.
- Here’s an easy way to create a new partition on your disk.
2. In Disk Management’s Graphical view, right-click an unallocated or free area, and then click New Simple Volume. This starts the New Simple Volume Wizard. (Note: If you need to create unallocated space, see the Tip Easily Shrink a Volume on a Windows 7 Disk for information on
how to do this.)
3. Read the Welcome page and then click Next.
4. The Specify Volume Size page specifies the minimum and maximum size for the volume in
megabytes and lets you size the volume within these limits. Size the partition in megabytes
using the Simple Volume Size field and then click Next.
5. On the Assign Drive Letter Or Path page, specify whether you want to assign a drive letter or
path and then click Next. The available options are as follows:
Assign The Following Drive Letter Select an available drive letter in the selection list
provided. By default, Windows 7 selects the lowest available drive letter and excludes reserved
drive letters as well as those assigned to local disks or network drives.
Mount In The Following Empty NTFS Folder Choose this option to mount the partition in
an empty NTFS folder. You must then type the path to an existing folder or click Browse to
search for or create a folder to use.
Do Not Assign A Drive Letter Or Drive Path Choose this option if you want to create the
partition without assigning a drive letter or path. Later, if you want the partition to be available
for storage, you can assign a drive letter or path at that time.
6. Use the Format Partition page to determine whether and how the volume should be formatted. If you want to format the volume, choose Format This Volume With The Following
Settings, and then configure the following options:
File System Sets the file system type as FAT, FAT32, or NTFS. NTFS is selected by default in
most cases. If you create a file system as FAT or FAT32, you can later convert it to NTFS by
using the Convert utility. You can’t, however, convert NTFS partitions to FAT or FAT32.
Allocation Unit Size Sets the cluster size for the file system. This is the basic unit in which disk
space is allocated. The default allocation unit size is based on the size of the volume and, by
default, is set dynamically prior to formatting. To override this feature, you can set the
allocation unit size to a specific value. If you use many small files, you might want to use a
smaller cluster size, such as 512 or 1,024 bytes. With these settings, small files use less disk
space.
Volume Label Sets a text label for the partition. This label is the partition’s volume name and
by default is set to New Volume. You can change the volume label at any time by right-clicking
the volume in Windows Explorer, choosing Properties, and typing a new value in the Label field
provided on the General tab.
Perform A Quick Format Tells Windows 7 to format without checking the partition for errors.
With large partitions, this option can save you a few minutes. However, it’s usually better to
check for errors, which enables Disk Management to mark bad sectors on the disk and lock
them out.
Enable File And Folder Compression Turns on compression for the disk. Built-in
compression is available only for NTFS. Under NTFS, compression is transparent to users and
compressed files can be accessed just like regular files. If you select this option, files and
directories on this drive are compressed automatically.
7. Click Next, confirm your options, and then click Finish.
The Windows 7 Disk Management tool will now show the space configured as a new partition.
How Shrink a Volume on a Windows 7

2.In Disk Management, right-click the volume that you want to shrink, and then click Shrink Volume.
3. In the field provided in the Shrink dialog box, enter the amount of space by which to shrink the disk.
The Shrink dialog box provides the following information:
Total Size Before Shrink In MB Lists the total capacity of the volume in MB. This is the formatted size of the volume.
Size Of Available Shrink Space In MB Lists the maximum amount by which you can shrink the volume. This doesn’t represent the total amount of free space on the volume; rather, it represents the amount of space that can be removed, not including any data reserved for the master file table, volume snapshots, page files, and temporary files.
Enter The Amount of Space To Shrink In MB Lists the total amount of space that will be removed from the volume. The initial value defaults to the maximum amount of space that can be removed from the volume. For optimal drive performance, you should ensure that the volume has at least 10 percent of free space after the shrink operation.
Total Size After Shrink In MB Lists what the total capacity of the volume in MB will be after you shrink the volume. This is the new formatted size of the volume.
4. Click Shrink.

NTLDR is Missing in XP how to solve
Set the BIOS to boot CD before Hard Disk. Boot the XP CD and, instead of
Setup, take the immediate R for Repair. Assume any password requested is
blank, and TAB over. Assuming this sees the CD as D (likely) give:
COPY D:\i386\ntldr C:\
COPY D:\i386\ntdetect C:\
(Hear "C:" is the system drive and "D:" is the CD drive)
(a file that may also be missing)
then rebuild the boot configuration boot.ini file by
Attrib -H -R -S C:\boot.ini
(if not found skip the next line)
DEL C:\boot.ini

Create a Bootable USB Pen Drive for win-7
- Insert your USB (4GB+ preferable) stick to the system and backup all the data from the USB as we are going to format the USB to make it as bootable.
- Open elevated Command Prompt. To do this, type in CMD in Start menu search field and hit Ctrl + Shift + Enter. Alternatively, navigate to Start > All programs >Accessories > right click on Command Prompt and select run as administrator.
- When the Command Prompt opens, enter the following command:
DISKPART and hit enter.
LIST DISK and hit enter.
Once you enter the LIST DISK command, it will show the disk number of your USB drive. In the below image my USB drive disk no is Disk 1. - In this step you need to enter all the below commands one by one and hit enter. As these commands are self explanatory, you can easily guess what these commands do.SELECT DISK 1 (Replace DISK 1 with your disk number)CLEANCREATE PARTITION PRIMARYSELECT PARTITION 1ACTIVEFORMAT FS=NTFS(Format process may take few seconds)ASSIGNEXITDon’t close the command prompt as we need to execute one more command at the next step. Just minimize it.
- . Insert your Windows DVD in the optical drive and note down the drive letter of the optical drive and USB media. Here I use “D” as my optical (DVD) drive letter and “G” as my USB drive letter.
- Go back to command prompt and execute the following commands:
6.1. Change directory to the DVD’s boot directory where bootsect lives:
d:
cd d:\boot
6.2. Use bootsect to set the USB as a bootable NTFS drive prepared for a Vista/7 image. I’m assuming that your USB flash drive has been labeled disk G:\ by the computer:
bootsect /nt60 g:
(Where “G” is your USB drive letter) - Copy Windows DVD contents to USB.You are done with your bootable USB. You can now use this bootable USB as bootable DVD on any computer that comes with USB boot feature (most of the current motherboards support this feature).Note that this bootable USB guide will not work if you are trying to make a bootable USB on XP computer.
